ANSWER TO THE CASE OF THE CHEAPSTAKE

Sherlock looked very surprised. "How do you know? We haven't even investigated yet,"
"We don't need to. The dominant arm of a tennis player is always more muscular than the other arm. So even if the criminal was a twin, Mr. Hannighan would've identified which twin by looking at their arms. It would've been even more easy to tell with that white t-shirt on," Shelfy said.
Sherlock smiled and said, "Now that's my sister. I'll call the station right away."
Within the hour, Mr. Hannighan was charged with false accusatation.

SHELFY SMITH AND THE CASE OF THE EGG

Shelfy was a remarkable detective, as you all know. Her best friend, Walker Menzel, was the athletic smart-guy type, but he could never match up to Shelfy. He usually assisted her in solving crimes, being her best friend. They called themselves the Walking Shelf Agency, which was a cheesy name, but no one really cared. Well, except for maybe me. And you.
Anyway, they were at the park when suddenly a man cried out, "My egg! My beautiful egg!"
Shelfy looked around and spotted a man running towards another man who held an enourmous egg.
"This is my egg!" The man with the egg shouted. "Stop trying to take it from me!"
Shelfy and Walker agreed to go see what had happened. When asked what was going on, the eggless man pointed to the other.
"Coty stole my chicken egg, the one that my family was planning to eat tonight! It is an enourmous egg, nice shade of brown, and from my best hen! He's trying to sell it as a peacock's egg!"
Coty shook his head and hugged his egg tighter. "You're lying! This is my egg, which I plan to sell to the zoo because it's a peacock's! Shane's just trying to steal it so that he can sell it!"
Walker, an athlete as well as a bird lover, wrestled the egg from Coty and looked at it. He sighed.
"Shelfy, it really looks like a peacock egg. It's ginourmous and the exact shade," he said.
Shelfy thought for a second before asking Walker, "Can you tell the difference between a male and a female bird?"
Walker got an idea and asked the men, "Say, can you describe the bird that laid this egg?"
Shane stared at Walker. "Man, she was just a plain brown chicken."
Coty snickered at Shane. "Ha! Yeah right." He turned to Walker. "She was a beauty! I saw the mother that laid this one and boy, oh, boy, her feathers were bright and colorful as can be!"
Walker smiled and gave the egg to Shane. Both men were surprised, and finally Coty sagged with sadness. "Dude, how did you know?"

HOW DID WALKER KNOW THAT IT WAS SHANE WHO OWNED THE EGG?
