Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

Hey, y'all!
Blackbat is here and I want to challenge you!
So, (with Stuart's permission, of course) I'm starting a series called, "Shelfy Smith." It's a mystery series where I come up with a mystery where you solve the case! For example, you answer this week's mystery, and the next week, you'll see if you're right. Good luck!

SHELFY SMITH AND THE CASE OF THE CHEAPSTAKE

Shelves hold things like candles, tools, and books. Shelfy Smith definately held books-- in her head. Abby was her real name, but the kids couldn't help themselves but call her Shelfy. Personally, she didn't mind.
She was the smartest girl in the town of Violette Town, out of the children AND the grown-ups. Her big brother, Sherlock, was a police officer, and they commonly solved cases together.
Take, for example, a long, long time ago. Like, really long ago. And I mean like far far away, like so long ago. Like last Monday or something. Sherlock came home and immediately went to Shelfy's room, where she was, reading a book about tennis. She was currently on the "What you Gain" chapter, which talked about how much stronger you get and how that could affect your life.
Sherlock knocked and stepped in her room. Shelfy looked up and said, "Sherlock! It's great to see you. I really, really, really, really, really want to tell you about this! Tennis is amazing! Did you know that when you play, your dominant arm gets--"
"Not now, Abby. We've got a case." He interrupted, and sat down on her bed. Shelfy immediately sat up, cross-legged, and closed her eyes.
"Alright, then. So you know Mr. Hannighan, the retired famous tennis player? Well, he was robbed today." Shelfy nodded, and Sherlock went on. "He had a thousand dollars in his safe, which he caught a man smashing open. He was too weak to fight, because, as you know, he's about seventy right now. So the thief ran off with the safe, which we found a block away, no fingerprints, smashed open with nothing inside. He can identify the man, who was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The problem is, the man is an identical twin, and Mr. Hannighan can't tell them apart. They're the Tomlen twins, George and Frank, who were also tennis players-- in fact, they were even good enough to beat Mr. Hannighan, and ever since then, they've hated each other. I've also noticed that George is a leftie and Frank is a rightie."
Shelfy opened her eyes and said, "So, what you're saying is, you can't prove if a thousand dollars was stolen or not?"
Sherlock nodded. "I need to find out what happened. Can you come to his house and help me?"
Shelfy smiled. "I don't need to! I've already solved it. You interrupted me earlier, which would've solved your case. Neither George or Frank is your guy. In fact, Mr. Hannighan is."

HOW DID SHELFY KNOW???
